Highland Hikes 2020

Every year we make a trek up Table Rock with any of our patients that want to join us. It’s a good excuse to get outside, get some exercise and build a stronger tribe.

This year we made record time in getting to the top! Can you believe it? We hike every first weekend of June and it tends to always be at least 90 degrees! This year…it was 58 degrees this year, rainy and windy! (While we were planning on 100 people showing up, we ended up with 40…which is WAY more than I expected because of the weather.)

So maybe we got up to the top faster because we didn’t have to stop multiple times to feel like we weren’t having heat stroke. Or maybe the wind helped push us up? Either way, it was still a lot of fun and the kids that came blew my mind. They beat the adults up to the top.

Highland Hikes 2019

Highland Hikes was such a great time this past weekend! We made sure to have some sweet Highland Swag for all those who showed up…dogs included 🙂  This year we had bandanas made becuase last year the trail was dusty, hot and sweaty. We thought it was only appropriate to have bandanas made, however, the weather was amazing for us. It didn’t feel like we were in Death Valley, but the bandanas were still awesome??

This is a hike that we at Highland Chiropractic do every year and will continue to invite all of you to join us for. It’s a great excuse to get outside, get moving and be with some of the best like-minded people in this community. This year it was perfect timing for a kickstart to the summer as school was officially out for West Ada on Friday! 

Boise has a lot to offer when it comes to beautiful landscape. And if you haven’t hiked Table Rock before then you need to know that this hike is amazing. It’s such a beautiful view from the top and is worth the occasional trail whining kid or husband to get there. It’s just part of the whole experience 🙂
