Colic and Constipation

All parents can testify to the fact that babies can cry—a lot. For the first several months of their lives, that’s basically their job! Eat, poop, cry, sleep, repeat. Maybe this sounds a little bit like your daily schedule too. That’s fine! No judgement here.

But what if your baby cries a lot a lot? Like, more than you think should be normal. Well, if this is the case then your baby may have colic. Colic is a condition used to describe otherwise healthy, well-fed babies that are fussy and frustrated for more than 3 hours a day, more than 3 days a week, for 3 weeks or more.

It’s much more than just a fussy baby—colic can get scary. Babies may stop breathing and turn blue, just because they’re crying so hard about something that they can’t explain to you. It is so sad and so miserable for both the baby and the parent. Luckily, it can be treated! And should be immediately!

If your baby is inconsolably fussy, look into treating them for colic. Chiropractic care will help your baby feel more comfortable and will help you AND your baby get better sleep. Check out how chiropractic helped Beau with his colic and constipation.
