One of our favorite things about this office is watching whole families come through the door. Mom comes in for her back, then brings the kids. Dad finally comes in after months of “I’m fine.” Grandma starts coming. A few years later, there’s a new baby on the table.
If you’ve wondered whether a chiropractor makes sense for your family, here’s what that actually looks like.
Why families like having one chiropractor
Life is busy enough without juggling a different provider for everyone. When one office knows the whole family, we already know dad’s old shoulder injury, mom’s history with sciatica, and which kid plays club soccer. Lots of families schedule back-to-back visits so everybody gets seen in one trip.
The reasons people come in are pretty everyday. Back pain, neck pain and headaches for the grown-ups. Low back and hip pain during pregnancy. Fussy, colicky babies, or little ones who struggle with reflux, constipation or ear infections, where we work alongside your pediatrician. Kids who play sports and take a fall now and then. And the occasional car accident.
What a visit is actually like
For adults, the first visit starts with a conversation about what’s going on. Then we do a thorough exam, with X-rays if they’re needed, and one of our doctors explains what we found in plain language before we do anything. Most people start treatment that same day.
For kids and babies, everything is gentle and sized to them. Adjustments for little ones use very light pressure, and parents stay right there the whole time. Ask us anything. We’d much rather you feel comfortable than rushed.
For expecting moms, we use pregnancy pillows so you can lie down comfortably, and we don’t take X-rays during pregnancy. You can read more about our prenatal care and our care for kids and babies.
Is it right for your family?
If anyone in your house is dealing with pain, stiffness or just not feeling like themselves, it’s worth a conversation. That’s really what family chiropractic care is: a chiropractor who gets to know your family and helps everybody stay active and comfortable at every stage.
We’d love to meet your crew. We’re right off Eagle Road at Wainwright, on the Meridian and West Boise line. You don’t need a referral, and we take most insurance. Schedule your first visit or give us a call at (208) 939-0775.
